Brothers playing for different teams in Indian Premier League


  • Both Pathan brothers who represented Indian national team are well known to Indian cricket fans. Irfan Pathan is a useful all rounder for Delhi Daredevils where as his elder brother is a hard hitting batsman of Kolkata Knight Riders. 

  • South African All rounder Albie Morkel is representing CSK where as his younger brother Morne Morkel is representing the Delhi Daredevils. Morne Morkel was the orange cap winner in 2012 edition of IPL with 25 wickets.

  • New Zealand's wicket keeper and striking batsman Brendon McCullum is a key player of Kolkata Knight   Riders. He is the first century maker of IPL tournament, and the score of  158 he made in that match is still the highest and could not be broken by any other batsman till date. His elder brother Nathan McCullum is a useful player of Sunrisers Hyderabad.

  • Former Australian cricketer Michael Hussey is an important left hand batsman of Chennai Super Kings. Nick named as "Mr. Cricket", Michael Hussey is the second batsman to score a century in IPL. His younger brother David Hussey is representing Kings IX Punjab. David also captained KIXP in few matches in 2012 during the absence of Adam Gilchirst.

  • West Indian Dwayne Bravo who plays for many league's in T20 format is an aggressive all rounder of Chennai Super Kings. His younger half brother Darren Bravo was also picked up by Deccan Chargers for the 2012 IPL team, but he could not participate in the same due the Australia's tour of West Indies during the same time.

  • The leading run-getter for Kings IX Punjab and also the Orange cap winner in the 2008 IPL edition, Shaun Marsh is a key batsman of Kings IX Punjab. Shaun's younger brother Mitchell Marsh is part of Pune Warriors India. Shaun and Mitchell are son's of well known former Australian player Geoff Marsh.
