  • Cricket lovers could not ask for anything more. They witnessed two absolute thrilling matches on Saturday. But the teams which could hold their nerve till the last over snatched victories from their opponents.

  • In the first match Rajasthan made a decent total of 165 with the useful contribution by Rahul Dravid  & Stuart Binny who both represented Karnataka in domestic cricket. Delhi Daredevils were in full control of the match till David Warner was in the crease. But the tragic run out of Warner in 19th over and the terrific last over by Kevin  Cooper helped Rajasthan to steal victory from Delhi Daredevils.

  • 40 year old Rahul Dravid, the "WALL" of Indian cricket was awarded Man of the match for his heroic knock of 65 from 51 balls.

  • The second match between MI & CSK saw many dramatic moments. The tiff between Pollard and Bravo or the Tit for Tat by Dhoni to Pollard, cricket lovers enjoyed all these moments along with the brilliant cricketing performances. 

  • Mumbai had lost 6 wickets when the score board read only 86, but it was Pollard whose brilliant knock of 57 helped Mumbai to score a defensible total of 148. It was almost one man show by captain cool MS Dhoni for CSK but the brilliant catch by Pollard in the last over of the match sealed the victory for MI. Pollard received the man of the match award for his all round performance.

      • Kings IX Punjab are going to play their first match of the tournament against Pune Warriors India. The tragedy with Punjab is they have never won their first match of the tournament in all the previous 5 IPL seasons but are keen to break this record this time under the captaincy of Adam Gilchrist. Apart from being the captain of team, Adam Gilchrist is also the coach of Punjab.

      • Shaun Marsh who won the Orange cap for his batting performances in the first season of IPL in 2008, is going to miss the initial few matches for his team due to injuries.

      • Wicket keeper cum Captain, Adam Gilchrist holds the record for highest dismissals with a total of 55. CSK skipper MS Dhoni is in the 2nd place.

      • Its the time for Sunrisers Skipper Kumar Sangakkara to show his batting skills in IPL. The talented batsman has scored only 50 runs in the last 7 matches of IPL.



      • Spinner Amit Mishra who represents Sunrisers is the second highest wicket taker in the IPL tournaments with a total of 77 wickets. Speed star Lasith Maling leads the list with a total of 83 wickets.
