Players above 40 years in Indian Premier League - 2013

T20 cricket is generally termed as the game of youngsters but the veteran players are also not much behind in showcasing their cricketing skills. Players like Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid are still the game changers of this shorter version of game.

Sachin Tendulkar is going to complete his 40th Birthday on 24th of this month. ( DOB : 24-Apr-1973).

But  in this edition of IPL, there are 5 more players who are senior to Sachin Tendulkar and are already crossed 40. !!!

Muttiah Muralidharan, ace spinner of Royal Challengers Bangalore and Adam Gilchirst, Wicketkeeper cum Skipper of Kings IX Punjab are both 41 years old.

And interestingly all the other three players above 40 are representing Rajasthan Royals in this edition of IPL.

Skipper Rahul Dravid just celebrated his 40th birthday on 11th of January this year. Australian Spinner Brad Hogg is 42 years old and is the oldest cricketer of this season.

Hold on, there is one more Indian player above 40 in this IPL edition whose name is probably unheard by many. 42 years old Pravin Tambe who was selected for the Mumbai team this year for the Vijay Hazare Trophy was a surprising inclusion in the Royal Challengers team of the season.
