Kareena Kapoor starer movie " Heroine " is about the ' ups and down in the life of a successful movie star' says director Madhur Bhandarkar. Aishwarya Rai was the initial choice to play the lead role in this movie but later withdrew due to her pregnancy. Kareena Kapoor then stepped in to play the lead role of "Mahi Arora" and it is said that the actress has given a powerhouse performance in the movie.
The movie is scheduled to be released on 21st September this year.
